Auto gather fish from trap?

Is there a way to have tribesman gather fish from a trap? I have one set up in my base radius and I can't figure out how to have them gather from it.

I haven't been able to get fish into a trap yet. But if setting a withdraw items (fish) command on the fish trap doesnt work Im not sure what would, unless it falls under the Breeding Farm umbrella.

I think at one point you can make a fish farm so probably not... I haven't seen a way for them to check my turkey or monkey traps...

Been testing a bit, can't get anything other than piranas, which need to be bred and managed. Have you caught actual other fish, how does it let you interact with them.

Mullet/ catfish you kill them or grab then and release them, later u lvl up a fishpond, this is where ur tribesmen can work it auto i think.

Make sure u fish in a spot where u see piranaha and other fish, in spot i havent gotten anything.

I put up my first trap today at my base in the rain forest. I put locust as bait, after a passed I had three catfish.

The first one I used execute thinking that would give me the fish meat. Sadly, that only killed and removed it from the trap.

Second attempt I tried my stone spear. Again no luck.

Finally I tried my bone butcher knife which ended up being the correct tool thus providing me with fish meat! Good luck all.

I still can't figure out how the fish traps work. I literally have like 5 traps surrounding a school of both Koi and Catfish and nothing ever happens. Definitely super buggy.

I am on the river near the portal in the rainforest. Threw down a few fish traps in the shallow water. Not sure what to expect. I stocked one with hoppers and the others with poison bugs. I end up getting koi fish after a while. Unfortunately I also set a patrol near the traps and my patrol always kills the fish, but I don't think there is a way to have my nerds harvest the fish. I have to go and butcher them myself every so often.

I ended up finding a super efficient method to making them work. I used pillars so I could place floors about waist deep level and built an underwater platform in the middle of the large part of the river just south of the first portal. The fish traps place perfectly on them. Works super well, especially with the piranha, but also get Koi. I have like 10-15 fish every time I go check.
