Quick discussion about base building

How do you guys go about it? FInding a good spot with clearable structure and level ground has been a challenge for all the things I find needs to be build on a floor. From irremovable trees to uneven ground, any suggestions or spots in particular to help?

Start your foundations high enough to cover some of the slope. Then when you can't place foundations down, try floors. Also, you can build over water, which is inherently flat. I am not sure how far you can build unsupported floors but it certainly helps.

You can build 3 away from a foundation with a floor. So one foundation can almost make a 7 by 7 cube.

Good to know, thanks. That makes water even better, as you can already build several foundations deep into it, depending on how it slopes..

Thanks I'll try to completely rebuild in a better spot. Thankfully I think you can move structures instead of completely disassembling.

Meh you can do in steps my bas is like that, its on a mild slope once I get to point I need two foudnations I make stairs down and do another layer. Honestly with the first bonfire not sure if bronze extends range hope it does I only needed two layers and I got enough for farms, a coop, and everything else I need for my base. I just put some stairs in stragic spots and let foundations go into the ground a little and they have no issues at all using stairs to go up and down levels and even wonder off to gather stuff.

Make a construction hammer in the craftmans bench, it lets you one click retrieve.
