Alpaca (mount) Question

Is there a way to manually feed/hydrate your Alapaca/mounts?

I just got mine fully grown, and want to take it out, but I don't want to take it out when it's not fed, or Hydrated.

Did you try add food to it inventory?

Add food and water to inventory then go into Behavior settings and put at what percentage you want him/her to eat and drink.

Mount it, walk to a well or water source and use action key it will drink.
For food, i just drop a stack or 2 of thatch and she will munch periodically while i am out and about.

Pre exploration i have a set of hitching posts and a water trough and a fed trough between the posts for them,

This is pretty much what I did, and it seemed to work. Though I wish you could just do like tribesmen, and manually feed/hydrate your mount by simply using the items on them.

That being said, at least I figured it out.
