GeForce NOW does not load the saved game :(

The synchronization of cloud saves with GeForce Now does not work : (And my PC is too weak to pull this game. Please fix it

please report it anywhere you can- GFN and in the game also. I have the same problem and still waiting. This game is fabolous, yet I dont want to play without saving the progress...

I also play on GFN and lost a few 5-6hrs saves before I realized it was a cloud sync error
Would be helpful to know if it is a GFN, Soulmask or Steam problem so we can report it to them.

BUT

if you really can't wait for an update/fix there is a workaround to kickstart steam cloud and be able to both save and load.
When GFN load the game and the steam window popup got to library asap and click the game on left side and stop it from starting while it still say "Soulmask - Launching" in blue text(if it changes to "running" in green text GFN will boot you from session if you stop).
Then right-click game and go to properties and under General tab turn Steam cloud off and back on to "reboot" cloud sync, close properties and hit Play.

Have fun building a tribe my dudes

Worked for me so far annoying but at least I can enjoy the game.

That is why i post on EVERY forum: geforce, steam and soulmask. I even wrote an e-mail to soulmask support :D

It does not work every time. I did arround 20 tests, it worked in arround 60% of tries: it always see the save from the Steam Cloud, but only in mentioned 60% times overwrite the save on the end of the session. Still no trustfull, 100% working workarround.

I got answer on game Discord, that "devs are aware of the problem".

The Game was all weekend long "offline" in GFN. It was told that it is under patching. For now, You can play, but still steamcloud does not work.

I checked today and unfortunatelly Steam Cloud is still bugged.

Steam Cloud has been an issue for years now do yourself a favor and just stop using it now so you dont have the issue later on with other games.

You shut steam cloud off in steam so it doesnt create steam cloud saves. You can do whatever you want Im just telling you Steam Cloud has screwed lots of games up for years its totally random what game it does and when it does it but after I lost a 450hr Grim Dawn save i shut that ♥♥♥♥ off years ago and never looked back. You can cruise through the forums of games all you want and I guarantee you will always find a steam cloud corrupt save post.

Like I said in the other post you have more then likely already lost your save because of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ Steam Cloud. If you start a new game with Steam Cloud OFF and it saves to your HD GFN will recognize it. The only reason GFN is trying to find to use your cloud save is because you have it turned on in Steam. Just because its a cloud streaming service doesnt mean it doesnt have access to your HD saves. Ive used GFN before when my old computer died and ive had Steam Cloud off for 10yrs+ now it reads HD saves just fine if you dont have cloud on in Steam.

Thank you for your suggestions. I did not know that there is such a possibility.

The saves that GFN reads from Your HD- are they in GFN files or standard Steam files? I cannot find clear, pure technical info in the internet, just GFN marketing... I'd like to investigate this and switch from Steam cloud to any other way that is accepted by GFN.
