I did not create a semi-decent looking male character with a proper Aztec name to play as an object “carried” by an ugly, sickly looking girl or other random npc I “control” (meaning the Mask controls?) later in the game. The whole concept stinks if that’s how we are supposed to play.
Having your character limited to lv. 40 and profficiency 50 (120 on npcs) feels -really- bad. Sure, I could swap to an NPC and level that one instead, but.. why shouldn't i just be able to limit my main character? And, if that NPC tribesman then dies as im controlling it, it's gone. There's no respawning with those.
So I'm gimped if I play my Main that can respawn, or I'm playing with permadeath on if I'm controlling an NPC. Both things I do not want.
You can save a good tribesman (that you choose) after killing the first boss and getting the tech. You save his DNA and then you can revive him.
I didn't try yet but i got the skill and tech.
Me personally, I lost interest in playing the game further after I discovered that game mechanic. Intentionally gimping the MC with skill caps is a big nope for me.
I don't think this at all they literally said in trailers and everywhere else to gets strong you got recruit and swap to stronger people... So what the ♥♥♥♥ is point of saying this for months if they were gonna go "oh yeah but instead just remove the cap and make you the choosen one and you don't even really need npcs minus just for lols"
I am sick of this BS wit hall that it selling like hot cakes with great reviews. Issue is you shiny gamers are a lot but ones who can't accept the core game concept are a MINORITY and you guys are like "there is like 400 of us! Hear us pay money and not refund but then list our demands!" Its like you can't spend any more money who cares? Also its 400 yes its more then one a lot more, BUT its like 400, out of half a million sigh.
Every popular EA launch you shines do this game will be heavy SP and co-op only by design "well I bought it and got 30 hours but it would be amazing if you did it pvp, and changed these other 12 things!" Then none shiny will go "oh oh I haven't bought and wont' till they add these too!" Its like dudes it sold over half a million they don't need to sell out to get 100 more sales that most them will sell out there personal convictions themselves once mods come out, and buy it anyways lol
Wait its true advertisment. Just because you ignore the parts you don't like of the ads don't make it false it just you IGNORED the truth, and then blamed the game devs lol. And its something I see all over steam games, I mean use to quote store pages, interiviews, and even screen caps or gifs of the trailers but it doesn't mean anything to you shiny hype gamers who don't read or look at anything you don't want to see lol
Nobody is bothered that possessing a peon is a feature. The issue is NOWHERE is it stated that the MC is disposable and gimped. THAT is the problem. Plenty of games allow you to control NPCs, and they do so without turning the MC into a disposable character. So just stop with your ranting.
