Long press [E] over a deterred comatose barbarian QUEST STUCK [ resolved ]

No matter how much i deter and bring to my base, I will never complete the quest

some more details would have been cool so i knew whats stuck for you huh? so if i remember right the quest doesnt just want you to deter an enemy but also to feed him and recruit him? if thats the case, feed the detered guy with soups by putting it in his inventory (which you can also open by aming at him and pressing tab if that hold e thing doesnt work right for you) and using it inside his inventory by pressing your use key (whatever that is for you, for me its e, think default was f?) which makes him eat it and you see his satiety and thirst bar fill, keep him well fed till the recognition bar reaches 500, then aim at him and press the use key again which makes you recruit him. so maybe you missed one of those steps and its not just the quuest that is bugged? worked fine for me several times

I did exactly that but it still did not work, i was playing multiplayer at the time. I did recruit a vagabond before doing this quest so that might be why it broke..,

Was stuck for me too, what fixed it was holding E on the barbarian and pressing control, it then completed the task

I did that and my character ate it. This ♥♥♥♥ is so buggy. Failed to do it on 3 different Barbarians.

We're having the same issue in multiplayer. I tamed the vagabond that came when we placed the bonfire earlier. Since then we have knocked out and brought back multiple barbarians. Each time we feed them a soup, wait for 500, and press E to tame them, but it doesn't complete the quest.
