Sit down animation?
I notice when tribesman are idle they sit down. Or, when my friends logout they automatically sit down. Is there a hot key that allows me to have my character sit down while I'm still in the game?

Put down some grass mats and theyll sit on those instead, then you can interact with it to sit down.

Sitting on a mat serves little purpose for a player though, as morale regenerates painfully slowly that way. It takes about 20 minutes at least if character morale gets really low. The starter bed is easy and cheap to make and speedily regenerates a player's morale, taking seconds in comparison.

it's even more useless to sit down for no reason but that's what op wants to do.

It's for RP purposes. I love doing it in RPG games, like sitting on a bench in Diamond City etc.
The game needs emotes.

haha yeah, Agreed, this game needs Emotes.

I don't exactly RP, But I do always like to sit down or lay down on a bed but not sleep sometimes when I either need to go AFK for a few moments or if I am crafting up like a good 8-13 minutes worth of items on me.

+1 Emotes

Some emotes would be nice. I have utterly zero in RP'ing in computer games, personally, but I do use emotes sometimes to wave to someone in passing, for example.
