Breeding and Slaughter issue

Ive been maintaining my own farms so far and everytime i try to assign a caretaker in the worker section for my Cabybara farm and under location it is always empty? Any thoughts?

You need to unlock Breeding farm to be able to assign npc to your pens.

So I have a turkey farm and a breeding farm, and when i assign my person to the breeding farm he says "no target" under work even though the turkey pen is directly next to the breeding farm. Seems there is a bug somewhere in this.

You don't need to assign work , it's done automatically once you set the hub with a worker (You can only have 1 worker) and when criteria at pen happens. E.g 80% population-> butcher. Same thing for farms, enough seeds and plot is free, granary worker will plant.

I think you've misunderstood, because I'm having the same issue as OP. My pens are full, I have a breeding farm and an assigned tribe member, but his work for breeding management simply says "no target" and he will not slaughter

Does your tribe member have a butchering knife in his inventory?

its based on your Pen settings. at 90%, 80% etc... if you have not reached that or it is waiting for a new baby etc. it has no target. Its not literally meant to be in the pen 100% of the time slaughtering animals. It only slaughters the overage of your settings. Also, butcher knife is required.

Maybe fully read. My pens are full. 12/12. He has a butchering knife. The pen is set to 80%. I love how everyone always explains not what people ask. My only thought now is that children do not count towards the percent and it only slaughters once there are 10 or more full adults

I think your last theory is correct. There is a note about things applying to adults when you are at the butcher % choice screen.

i have the same problem as op, i cant assign a caretaker to taking care of the animals, i chose breed and slaughter management and then the location box is empty so the job assignment becomes invalid. The worker has a butcher knife.

auto breed and slaughter is not available till 25 when you unlock the breeding farm. they moved granary to 10, they should have probably done the same to the breeding farm. they still might.
