How do you make a Tribe member happy?
So, when I logged on today, I noticed one of my members "Mood Meter" was around 180, and it wasn't going up from there.

After received a debuff which gave hime -5% speed, which isn't a terrible debuff or anything, the point is, I had no way of actually knowing what was wrong with him. The translations in this game aren't the greatest by any means at all either, for example, the "Mood Meter" says it has 6 diff state of a mood someone can be in, and says "The more red it becomes, the happier they are" which had me scratching my head for a second when I had read this... Then looking at the icons, seeing the icons getting more and more uspet the further red it went, so that's clearly not the case.

Looking through the character sheet's more thoroughly, I've noticed each member has random traits, some good, and some bad, and this was the ONLY reason I could possibly think what might be wrong with my Tribe Member. However, none of the bad traits on him actually made any sense, and he wasn't wearing anything, or doing anything bad that would make him unhappy.

Meanwhile I looked at a different one of my tribes bad perks, and it says she loses happiness when she equips leather armor for 5 minutes, and that trait did indeed kick in when I put Leather on her.

My male on the other hand, only had bad traits from carrying Great Swords, Spears, and I forget the other one, but it was never active. The only thing I could possibly think now, is that his Two Handed Hammer was counting as a "Great Sword", and again, maybe the explanation was lost in translation or something. Even then, it made no sense, because the bad perk for carrying a Greatsword, was simply a damage reduction, nothing that actually said it would make him lose happiness.

I ended up just killing him off, because he refused to do anything, and I couldn't figure out how to make him happy.

And before anyone says anything, no, it's NOT The Morale Meter, it's he MOOD Meter. He was already the highest morale he could go from sleeping, and my base is lvl 2 in Decor, with a roof and everything. Morale was NOT the Problem.

I made a dining table, couple of chairs and a toilet and their mood went up to almost full. Especially the toilet seemed to increase their mood significantly.

Juice is the I think the first beverage that you can make to improve mood. You may have to manually make them drink it.

I noticed my NPCs usually have dialog which points to what's making them unhappy. One, for example, was bored of the same food and drink every day. I gave her some juice and a new meat/veg dish and her mood starting going up.

Watch for their comments, might give you an idea of what's bringing their mood down.

Second on the comments.
It was only a very brief floating text overlayed on the thrall when I assigned it to a workstation, something like "this ist not a thing I love" - or similar. But was very brief / only caught it the last moment.

Yeah you have to manually make them eat click on food and water/juice in their inventory and hit e. Had to read the tutorial couple of times to figure out what they meant. Good to know about the tables though thanks...trying figure out how to make the auto eat and look after themselves. Hope that works

The community told me to build that dinning table. My NPC's are drinking the juices from it. When they're done they drop off the cups to my food storage box too. I'm satisfied with this.

I force feed myself happy juice it's called alcohol :) and my mood usually improves. So why not for the NPC's too, aye? It's great right.

Yeah, the outhouse helps - I have one guy that gets really happy every time he takes a poop. Then, I have another that just likes poop - sorta odd thing, but having her make fertilizer makes her happy too.
