Best place to get claws to craft fist weapons

just unlocked the ability to craft the fist weapons and can't seem to find what i need to get the claws from.
anyone know the best place for me to farm the claws I need? i'm level 15 so something around that would be great.

Claws drop from panthers. You can also get claws from outcast chests.

I randomly get claws from killing different animals still in the starter zone. No need to go hunt panthers/jaguars yet. Later, only the big cats will give you the premium claws I believe, but for now, just go around killing the bush dogs and things.

Let me clarify, I am still in the starter zone, I haven't killed anything big like a jaguar yet, I've been killing the normal starter zone beasts. I am not certain which animal is dropping the claws, but I'm guessing it's random from one of the starter creatures.

Okay, I just realized that when I loot the chests in the ruins, I'm getting claws. Maybe it's an early way to get them so we can have the beast bone gauntlets.
