I think there is an option to adjust the number (not completely disable) in the settings - if no one else answers, I'll check the next time I fire it up later tonight.
The portals are freaking worthless anyways though lol you cant take anything through them.
Uhhh, if you turn on the setting you can take anything through them. Also, you can most definitely turn off building decay. Turn "Building Decay Coefficient" to 0. I place a bonfire, then the portal and take the bonfire away.
Does that let you have infinite portals? This is what I came here to find out. I don't want to remove my bonfire and loose the portal immediately.
