PvE?

Is there any way for it to be PvE only? Me and my buds are looking at getting this, but we don't want to deal with any PvP stuff at all

There is PvE only servers.

If you are able to host your own server you can put -pve in the StartServer.bet to make it pve. Or play on any of the numerous pve server open to the public.

They have an option called Solo/with Friends. You can decide how many people can be in the game and set up a password. That way you and your friends can play and it would be PvE unless you fight each other.
