Quest to get alpaca mount not completing

As the title says i have found a alpaca, let it grow up and put a saddle on it and the quest wont complete

yeah, ive tried with two different ones now, im guessing its bugged

Did you craft the saddle yourself? Im not there yet but ive had quests not track crafting done by npcs.

Same problem here, i have saddled Alpaca, im ridin it and quest not done ;/

Use a magnifying glass and read the instructions carefully. Step by step, done manually by your main character, till all the checkboxes are checked.

Dude i did everything, it mature throgh the night while i was offline. Maybe that an issue

Just got to the quest myself and it gave it to me before my alpaca was even grown. Did you learn the saddle recipe before you got the quest, because one of the steps is too unlock it. Try respeccing your tech tree and unlocking it again.

We have noticed that some players have been unable to complete the “Obtaining Alpaca Cubs” section of the newbie quest. After investigation, it is due to the fact that the alpaca cubs obtained from the Small Ruins camps do not trigger the completion of this quest. Currently, you can get baby alpacas from Barbarian Barrack in Rainforest/Hills.

I was stuck on this too, the post above is accurate, if you get the Alpaca from the big barbarian camp it completes.
