Awesome, and there are definitely hosting companies besides G Portal that are hosting it. Check them out and show them some love!

Hopefully someone is working on a WindowsGSM plugin... I tend to use that utility to run my dedicated servers.

Does this have to be done through a provider or can we just host a private game ourselves for friends to join when we're all online together? Kind of a deal breaker for us if not as we don't pay for server rentals and have no interest in public servers. I really want to play this game though.

The steps seem very clear for Windows, however the Linux side feels like there are some gaps, and maybe it is just me being newer to Linux. I cannot seem to get my server started to the point I can connect to it with the .sh

I need help, I have my own server and follow the tutorial posted here, but when the bat starts, nothing opens and the server doesn't open!

Are you able to dedicate a certain amount of ram to the server?

Hmm server isn't showing up in the list. I got a name set, I got the standard Steam query port open (27015) and the game port open (using 7777). Server APPEARS to start correctly although the last thing in the console output really doesn't hint at that:

[2024.06.01-02.58.32:534][ 37]LogSnapMapStreamingData: Deserialized 0 actors
[2024.06.01-02.58.32:544][ 38]LogWS: Create Dungeon Successed: DiXiaChengLv50, Index = 2, Seed = 83676, Use Time = 4.707173, TryNum = 1

Any ideas? I'm going through WIndowsGSM now; but I also had it directly set up before and had the same issue.

UPDATE: My friend can see it and connect. But it doesn't show up in the list for me??
UPDATE2: I was able to join it via direct connection with the IP address.

This clearly seems like some kind of client bug or something. Friends can see it; but I can't yet I can join it with a direct connect.

I think you need to set your multihome IP to the server's internal address to fix this.

Hello, it seems that we have to install steam client on windows server to make it run, it is not supposed to be the case for a dedicated server.
We all have that issue https://i.imgur.com/Xxg74TT.png (i used the default parameters, reinstalled multiple time, i made sure that my machine were clean)

You can start a private/friends game which gives you an invite code to send to friends. There is also an option to set a password.
Ideal for people to join your game when you are playing it.
