How to change Server game settings ??

how to change the settings for a custom game on a server i think its the gameXishu file but since its not in English im not sure anyone have any info

Eben nicht, das ist ja das Problem, auch wenn man sein Tastaturlayout umstellt geht die Taste links neben der 1 nicht. Oder besser sie macht keine Konsole auf.

Open the console with ~ or ` depending on your keyboard language settings.

Then enter 'GM key _____' the ____ should be replaced with your admin password that is setup in the startup params.

You can then alter all of the rates in that GM panel.



I have seen the same post and changing the GameXishu.json in WS/Saved/GameplaySettings doesn't actually apply ingame.

You have to use the GM panel by using the 'GM key ____' command, they say this in the server documentation that is linked up higher.

Make changes to that file, start your server and they either get reverted to a default value or they just have no effect.

I was monitoring the gathering rates to learn this.

I had set gather rates to 10, kept being reverted to 3, but was gathering the amount equivalent to rates of 1. As soon as I used the GM panel instead everything updates as intended.

The issue I am having is the reverse.
the json file works but is hard to use.
The gm panel reverts instantly.

so i go to the coefficency part... then consumption and set fuel consumption to 0.5.
I then tap escape to exit the menu
if i load the menu back up... its back to 1.0

I noticed this happening also, but not immediately, only after a server reboot. I'm thinking it's possibly reverting because I have it set to 'normal' instead of 'custom' so it's overwriting the values back to their normal settings. About to reboot my server and see if setting it to custom and adjusting fixes this issue.

Update: That appears to have fixed the issue. So, try this:

Shut down your server.
In 'Start.bat' change it from 'Normal' to 'Custom'
In the 'GameXishu.json' I modified the settings of the '0' section to what I wanted and then I copy/pasted them to overwrite the settings in the '1' and '2' section, not sure what the difference is, but wanted to make sure it worked.

I turned my server back on and all the settings were correct for once.

There are several ways to control settings on a server. But as a non Chinese speaking player you probebly do not want to do this with the Pinyin translation list each time as it is a pain in the butt. So if you want to have it in english you should do it from the game. Steps to do it from the game:
1 make sure you have a keyboard in windows that works, i normally use US-international but that does not work, so i added the normal US (qwerty) layout.
2 switch keyboard to a working layout US (qwerty).
3 start the game and connect to your server.
4 press the key with the ~ (tilde), on a US international keyboard left next to the 1.
5 type: gm key ____ (replace ____ with your server admin password)
6 a panel should appear pres the key with the ~ again 2 times to close the console.
7 on the panel click "make admin" button (text should change to "away admin")
8 type your admin password in the field left next to the button, and press enter.
9 click on the button "server coefficency", and start changing your settings.
10 when done press "escape" key once to get back to the main panel.
11 click "away admin" button once. (Text should change to "make admin"). This last step forces the server to save the settings file immediately.
12 press "escape" again to continue playing. As far as i know all settings take effect without a restart of the server.

-> after "login" into admin console window, enter pw again and click on "become admin" or sth. like that. when u open the coefficency settings u can see a player list on the left. if your name has some admin title marked in red, then it should now work changing and saving your settings.

I made a dedicated server, and put settings in the gameusersettings.ini - and the game wipes the file every time...

Thanks MK but it doesn't work, or at least not if i change the file in the save folder.
Any tips how to change the settings in solo past the default values??

I am trying to edit my server so the loot box spawns at your respawn. Anyone knows which line is responsible for that option?

In coeffcients it should be a checkbox "Post-Respawn Death Pack On/Off" 5th option down.

Auf der deutschen Tastatur funktionierte es bei mir problemlos mit dem Minus auf Numlock-Block. Da öffnet sich ganz unten Consolen-Eingabe. Da "gm key adminpassword" eingeben und enter drücken. Später einfach minus-Taste und Pfeil nach oben. Befehl bleibt gespeichert und muss nicht jedes Mal neu getippt werden.
