How to enable cheats or admin for single player?

If you are looking for "an edge" in the game and you've reached a brick wall in your single player progression, try lowering difficulty to casual for abit while you increase your proficiencies and/or beat some tough bosses. Then jack it back up to whatever difficulty level you were previously using....worked for me.

O.o? game to hard? there is settings to make you life easier, way easier even with 0.2 dmg to you and 5x dmg to wild enemies for SP runs. hmm just want a button to heaven ig. *- sarcastic mode - dont play games, easier that way.*

I use it for testing things in games and since it's Early Access, there are bound to bugs. Pretty common sense.

Also, people can play single player however they want. They can make it as easy or as hard as they want. Doesn't affect you.

Tbh i want admin commands too.
I've found a place for my base i really like (regular ground near a cliff) but after building half a base i recognized my woodcutter to go completely nuts about a tree IN the cliff. He can't reach it and is running back and forth at the cliff instead of cutting trees that are perfectly accessible...

Yeah it's ea etc - but having admin-commands would probably allow me to fix this problem by killing the tree.

Some people no longer can play without cheats or pay to win/progress/convenience mechanics. Their itch is uncontrollable. Quick instant gratification and high and of course, the down trip depression is glory to behold once they did everything in record time or break their game.

Of course, there's people who monetized their game, as they are "content creator". Cheats get them there while faking it. lol.

I mean my tribesman decided to stand still on a spike trap for some reason, which continuously ticks for insane damage for some reason, and I wanted to revive them since it was an absolutely stupid death even a frog knows if a surface hurts to stand on then get off. But yeah you're right, I just can't play without cheats.

i manage to open the "admin menu" in single player BUT for some reason i can't summon or spawn anything from it, it does sees me as an admin, yet does not allows me to do stuff.

this is a "early access" game, it is not even a complete game it is full of bugs unfair advantage for ai , people who complain about "cheating in an early access game " need to go play outside and keep your opinion to yourself. if you wanna try and compete "fairly" with an unfinished game go for it.

There is a cheat engine way to enable to the console for singleplayer. The person who made it said it was as easy as flipping a switch so not really sure why the devs just won't turn it on for single player as well. I'd like to use it in an offline server to test out some base builds to then use layouts to build stuff in the online worlds.

Just for the morons saying "Just turn down the difficulty" THAT`S NOT WHAT I WANT, i don`t want to play in baby mode, i just want to change some settings beyond the scale. There is no mentally healthy reason to block players from doing that in solo mode.
So the anger over developers doing it is more then justified!

I personally seldom use admin commands. I don't like to use them because once you do, when does it stop. I agree it isn't fun when you cheat. But if someone wants to just essentially play the game in creative (otherwise known as cheat mode), that is their own business. Maybe they are doing it to create a video. Maybe they are trolling their friends. Who knows.
