Dedicated Servers on own hardware?

actually they downgraded to 50 max players. they may change it later but for now its 50

has anyone actually got server up and running I've followed the guide to get it sorted but when I launch Startserver.bat nothing loads up

The dedicated server does work, but it's not easy if you've never hosted a dedicated server before. Launching the bat file should launch a terminal with logging (when using the default bat file). You'll most likely want to customize the bat file to set a password, set ports (that you have open through firewall), etc.

Correct, no need to host a server from a provider like them. There are a number of other providers though, including Survival Servers who has game servers live for Soulmask.

I'd recommend trying to spin one up on your own hardware but if you run into issues you can always choose the rental route.
