You have to drop some arrows from your inventory onto the item slot where the bow is equipped, and you will see an arrow icon over the top of the bow with a counter on it telling you how many you have left.
Weird, I know, but that is the way it works here.
Yeah, that happened to me first time I tried to use the bow.
My "huntress" tribeswoman is doing some serious damage when flanking my melee targets. Archery level 45 or something now and going up.
Put her on medium distance, so she won't pull aggro too much.
Still sounds like a melee-centric approach that could use some balancing to make a bow more viable.
