How will private servers work?

Can you play the game on a server hosted locally on your pc or do you have to pay a server provider for a server?

Yes, the game currently supports offline single player or online multiplayer of up to 70 players on official servers. You may also establish your own LAN host or private server while inviting others to join.

when you say offline single player.... dont you mean its for the early access release because i didnt get into this Demo version since i've tested a couple tests so far and loving it but they both didnt have SP available yet?

That's true, but you're missing a piece.
The Files for self-hosted dedicated servers can already be seen on SteamDB.

So Fingers crossed they will be available with EA Start.
If one is able to host a Server for 70 People depends a lot on the Hardware used.

Damn hosting it on my own 7940hs would be sick. I guess AppID: 2886870 is only for hosting companies. Any Dev's that can clarify?

Looking at it in SteamDB, it says dedicated server for windows. If they mark it available, us steam users should be able to install the dedicated server software. Just don't run it on the same machine you're gaming on.

Yeah... I run a hosted dedicated server at 4-net players, but when I run the game, the console doesn't open with the tilde key... how do I open the console then?
