Mining unlock

Hey everyone,

Been enjoying the game but seem to be stuck.
Spotted two iron mines, a coal mine and an emerald mine but they all require the miner.

I went to the person in the north of the map next to a campfire but that did not seem to unlock anything, was that supposed to unlock anything?

I seem to either require something to get through spikes( stuck at spikes after magic unlock AND spikes at the massive trap place). Cant buy the boots because I have used my iron to unlock gold bar crafting

Cant get sword items

Only have 3/5 emeralds to unlock lightning bow from the labyrinth which i suppose i need in the miner area or for the other portal

any help?

You need steel plated boots, you get plates needed for them from boss fight under your base those gates opened by specific weapon imprints on cube, reward from one of battles s chest with enough to craft them, which grant you immunity to spike traps

There should be an worker's camp you can build in the extreme north east of the map near some coal mines that will allow you access to mining. From there you can pick up a lot of resources opening up the mines.

Dont I need the lightning bow to acces that area?

Nope, there's a mine up there where you will need an electric bow to reach, but the worker's camp you don't.

I missed the fact that there is a tiny 1 block off-ramp next to the campfire in the north that allows you to go around the big hole in the road

I can't find what you're talking about here. I am completely stuck because I cannot find this apparently invisible path into the miner's camp in the NE. I know where it is in the clouds on my map. I have the whole area surrounding it cleared, and I've gone over and over and over every area surrounding it looking for some way, any way, of getting around the rivers, and electrified gates, and stone walls, and pillars with triggers on the other side, and pits, and I just can't find any way in there. I've studied the screenshot the developers posted in a guide telling you where it is, and I can't even see a way into it anywhere in that screenshot. This is completely ridiculous. This game SHOULD be a lot better than it is, and it wouldn't have gotten such bad reviews if the developers hadn't made it so extremely frustrating like this, where you get dead stuck and end up having to walk over the same areas of the map over and over again trying to find some tiny little thing you need to do to keep playing the game.
