Using a 360 controller, what are the mapped buttons?

I'm using a xbox 360 controller for all my pc gaming needs. But I don't know what the numbers are for the buttons. So I'm kind of in the dark on how to setup game pad area in the settings.

anyone else use a 360 controller and know how the buttons are mapped by numbers so i can change my config to a comfortable setting?

There's a program called x360ce[code.google.com] that may work.

You'll have to put "x360ce.exe" into your LaTale folder, then open "x360ce.exe" it'll creat a "xinput1_3.dll" and "x360ce.ini" file within the La Tale game folder for mapping out and enabling xinput controls.

When you see Picture 2, you can click on the button and you will see which one is which in that little window, where Nr. 1-12 are.
My Xbox Controller didn't work completely, because buttons 11 and 12 didn't work. but there is a program which can "repair" that.
