It's dying, not fully dead. If it was dead, no one would be online. Not to mention, looking at a single day for an analysis for a problem over time is a "bit" narrow. I'll agree that's it IS clear the game isn't as popular as it was before.

Also, what about the non-steam players? Were they included in this assumption based off a program that scans Steam usage?

i think non-steam players are not included in Steam usage

According to steamDB, the highest player count since release was only in the hundreds YET 5,000 people downloaded the game yesterday and 100 people purchased DLC packs for the game in the last 2 days.....I think several of their figures are just completely off.
as a chinese player..it's too slow to update the game

To be fair, it updates more frequently than most free-to-play MMOs do, but less frequently than pay-to-play MMOs.

Not much you can do to make this game popular, and it's a fantastic game.
Played it when I was 14, met my best friend when I was 16 on it as well. :/
Even with pushing this on Steam it was only a hit for a while...

I had fun for about 400 so hours thats when it actually would launch but now it doesnt even get past xtrtap fully updated but doesnt launch Ill have to look elsewhere I guess ..just miss the lil engineer

btw... there might be under 2k players in MWO but many still play that have been playing since beta long before steam came along....

...I am however lil sad when I played with your lil stats page showing 12k players in that silly tree of saviour game =s

I think when the game dont have that many buggs and error the player count will go up.
But the GM's just can send copy past messages without any sense.

This is true. The entire OGPlanet user base for La Tale is not represented by the Steam graphs presented above.

This is true. The entire OGPlanet user base for La Tale is not represented by the Steam graphs presented above.

In addition to that: as I said previously, the various graphs themselves on that website are contradicting themselves and therefore can't be accurate even considing only the steam version players.
Example of how the graphs are innaccurate (or maybe skewwed is more accurate?):
According to the second graph a totally of 78 players played the game on on the 8th may 2016.
According to the 3rd graph a total 4,900 players played the game on that same date.

From may 1st till may 8th (7 days) the number of "owners" of the game on steam went up by 32,000, for free-to-play games "owners" are players that have the game CURRENTLY installed OR which bought DLC for the game. While there's no guarantee that these people are playing the game, it at least shows that there's still interest there.

As a totally rough estimate I'd say maybe 1/5 to 1/4 of the game's active players use steam. With the majority of older players still use the OGP version due to character not being transferable between the 2 account types..

The current active server population has declined slightly compared to normal, but I've seen it lower at specific times in the past (just before the announcement of Season 2's launch date for example), this happens in many MMOs, other game releases/updates draw players away from one game, then the next time the game updates the population comes back.

I bet there are a lot of active players that don't go through steam. When looking for a download to this game the only thing that would popup was OGPlanet but then one day while looking in the steam store I saw LaTale. When I downloaded it from OGPlanet it crashed half way in to the start up every single time but when I downloaded it through Steam it ran perfect. So glad to play this game.
