Game crashes after 30 seconds.

I bought this game when it first hit Steam. I played it for awhile and enjoyed it. I bought a new gaming rig recently and decided to give the game a go. It booted ok but whether on a level or sitting at the main menu, the game crashes. I have tried every known workaround that I know of but now, it is unplayable. It is too bad, it really is a good game. I am going to try and get my money back. I dont see this game getting updated either so anyone that hasnt bought it, be aware that it may crash on you. Anyone that wants to accuse me of having a broken PC or blaming me or my hardware just know that I have tons of Steam games and none crash on me, save for this one. The fact is, I paid money for a now broken game.

Resolved- You need to find the .exe file in your Steam files. It should be something like ProgramFilesx86/Steam/SteamApps/common/MrBree+. Just use File Explorer to find the file. Once you have it, right click and go to "Properties". Click the Compatability tab and change it to "Windows 7". Once I did this, the game ran just fine. This is a confirmed fix.

i just installed today and am also having crashes before getting to actually be. atm the furthest i got, was the level selection screen. help?

Yes, the game runs on a version of Flash Player that has trouble sometimes with Windows 8.1. This is what was told to me anyways. You need to find the .exe file in your Steam files. Click the Compatability tab and change it to "Windows 7". Once I did this, the game ran just fine. I got this info from one of the devs after I emailed the studio directly. This should help you out.

I wanted to verify that running the game in compatability mode for windows 7 on windows 8.1 worked for me. Thanks again for the advice!
