New to this--how do I two-hand a weapon?

I've noticed when I found a bastard sword my character was still swinging it with one hand, even after unequipping my shield. Any help please? Thank you. :]

Pretty sure that if your off-hand is empty, it counts as a 2-handed swing, even though it might not look like it.

If you're trying to use a large weapon 1-handed, the tutorial skull will usually tell you that only works effectively if you're very strong. And in my experience, "Very Strong" is over 17 Str.

Yeah the skull told me that. Reminded me of Dark Souls. :]

But if there's no animation specifically for it, that's all I needed to know.

There is a specific animation for two-handed attacks. It's subtle, but it's there. Most obvious if you press-and-hold V.
