Runs real slow when talking to NPC
How can I solve this one? My pc is fine, it runs AAA games fine, and the lobby is fine too, but when I talk to the first NPC the fps drops a lot.

I even turned on "low-spec", but it's the same thing.

How can I solve this?

Right, so after a bit of testing it seems that what makes the fps drop is the resolution. Well, it's something else, surely, but the resolution lowers its impact.

But it's not just going to a lower resolution. It's that the *normal* resolution is unplayable, while the *lowest* resolution is kinda passable. It still drops fps when talking to NPCs or opening up menus and inventories, which makes the experience really frustrating, but it's not the hellish drop that happens in normal resolution.

And to repeat my original post, much heavier games play fine, so to me, this isn't an issue of specs, but more of memory handling.

Sadly, I will have to request a refund since it seems not many other people are talking about this issue, so I don't see any way of it being solved within the 14-day limit for refunds :s

Anyway, I wish you luck, games like this are cool, and I might revisit it when it grows and maybe stuff like this are fixed. It's just at the moment it's unplayable for me.
Is it a laptop? On mine I found out that it was trying to use the integrated GPU instead the dedicated graphics card and it ran quite slow . Setting it to use the dedicated graphics card solved the issue.

The way the refund policy works, it's impossible to troubleshoot all this and test it out and remain at the required time-limit to request a refund if nothing works

Just by personally testing and adjusting stuff, and typing here and all, I got to 30 minutes, having not played at all xD

This is something that the devs either have to have fixed or at least contain information about how to fix. Like "if it does that and you're on a laptop, no worries we got you". This lack of information about this made me worried that they perhaps wouldn't even know how to fix - or why it's happening - themselves.
having played the game with now problems at all and suddenly it is slow running in every aspect.... not just with npc´s but in the map running around, shots fired in slomo... I´ve changed nothing... it just happened so to say over night...
My game started running slowly randomly as of last night. I've messed with settings and adjusted everything I can, and I'm not sure what the issue is. Hopefully it gets resolved soon, but I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues.
I will come back to this game at a later stage when at least some of these issues get resolved, as they are *core* issues imho.

The game must at least run. If it runs slowly, then have some adjustments to make it run smoother. But it makes no sense for a pc to run AAA games, like arkham city or something, and not being able to run a pixel-based game.

Let alone that I have games of similar graphics (death trash for example, awesome game), which run perfectly fine, no issues ever. And this has issues from the *get go*.

And trust me, I know how hard it is to be a dev, but this game's price is above 10$ on a discount, so yeah, the expectations are much higher. If it was a 5$ game, I wouldn't even think of a refund, and I'd help the dev troubleshoot the game. But at *more than* 10$ that's, I dunno. It should have been resolved.

Sorry, but the price also sets the expectations.

yeah. i'm running this on an i9 with a 2080 and 64GB of RAM and it's chugging like a wheezy buffalo. and i can run Warframe @ 60fps on Ultra. so i don't know what the deal is here...

I have encountered a similar problem before, but when I turned on the motherboard's integrated graphics and independent graphics to run dual, the problem disappeared. I wonder if this problem is related to the graphics card connecting two screens?

No idea, I have a single screen :S it doesn't make sense to drop the FPS *this* much
Same problem, switching GPUs didn't work. I liked the game and it ran really good some time ago, now however it's kinda broken. Hope the dev will fix this
