Co-op? Or multiplayer?
Like the title says, can I play this game with a friend online together in like a co-op campaign? Or play agains other players online in a big world?

Some form of multiplayer is currently planned. I'd link you the post the devs made but I can't recall which thread its in, atm.

Well this is sad, I primarly bought this even before the sale to play multiplayer with my buddy and it seems to be have been put on the backburner. Guess I'll just take this as another EA title as a loss.

It's on the backburner so the game itself will be more satisfying and enjoyable, and be more worth to add multiplayer to. Beyond the fact this game wasn't originally intended for multiplayer, dropping everything to neglect polishing and adding content to the core game, just for multiplayer, would be much more of a loss.
I'm excited for multiplayer, too, but I'd rather have a great, full game to play multiplayer in.
To each their own, though. I've always seen multiplayer as a bonus to games.

It is 2016 still no multiplayer, either the game is dead on support or they are taking their time. :steamsalty:

"Multiplayer won't be doable for Pixel Piracy unfortunately. It was something they badly wanted to do, but couldn't execute on." that was on another thread back in 2015
