Grindstone is too----hard----to----get!!!

Even with the grindstone ( ie using cheat and getting 999).
Chance to upgrade becomes almost zero when leveled to the middle.
For example - when weapon is leveled to 15 / 30 then ranged grindstones become useless too.

Grindstones are still only chance to upgrade and the chance really goes down to hell after first few levels.

Afaik it's just one of the bad designs...
I think it's pretty much impossible to max out ranged weapon.

THX very much for that long reply, i just want to know if i could have any way to upgrade it to the max level, i dont care if its cheat or not


its a little bit boring since i play melee only, want to find some different game style until i found that stupid range weapon level set.

Your characters will always be primary melee, unless you make them gunners and stay on ship which means they will operate canons. Not to mistake with ranged weapon mini canon.

Speaking of canons I think they aren't worth the effort because when you use it against humanoids on island they will rush to board you and then their corpses usually get stuck on the boat. Your cleaners should be able to clean them.. but they don't (bug) so only way to get rid of corpse from ship is to remove blocks under it, until it falls in the ocean and then build it back again. Once more not worth the effort.

There's no way to force your characters staying in ranged unless you keep very small crew and just micro manage them all, I think that's not really worth the effort.

As for cheats if you still like to try look in the guides there's one cheat guide with all hotkeys.
So you can try it for yourself.

yeah that so true, corpse still stuck if they died near block. or sometimes near poop :p
