It should, however, work on x86 versions (including x86 version of Windows 10, presumably), provided all necessary dlls are included (CM was running on rather old version of Visual basic).
All in all - the only solution for most people is virtualization these days, which seems like an overkill for this purpose, really.
CM is 16 bit program, btw., so it might be possible to run it in Windows 3.x enviroment (under Dosbox). Might, just might.
