Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

Read the room already, Japan.
Onimusha was more or less the only old property I wanted to see remasters and new games of. However, the moment I see this "Suzi" person being involved in the marketing or game in any way, you've lost my purchase.

The time for that stuff has ended. It's over. I'll play the games, but you lost my money...

Is this "Suzi" person a DEI activist?
If so, hope Trump steps up to say the iconic line.

:PresidentTrump: You're fired!
Thank god that common sense is returning in a big way.
Personally I couldn't care less what clown they use in broadcasts and game reveals, don't watch that stuff anyways.
Insert pandering propaganda into a game and I'm right there with you, no buy, remove from wishlist and in some cases even click on publisher -> ignore publisher.

The only people I can find promoting the game in any official capacity are the developers themselves in the showcase, Akihito Kadowaki and Satoru Nihei.

Even Googling "Onimusha Way of the Sword Suzi" brings up nothing about what you're saying.

I assume you're referring to Suzi Hunter, also known as TheSphereHunter. The only direct involvement I can even find of her with Capcom is a Capcom Spotlight from two years ago, and voice work for the DMC mobile game. That's not anything to get worked up about.

Even if they did use Suzi to promote the game, that doesn't inherently make the game some "DEI activist" project that's twisted for politics. Suzi is a huge fan of Capcom games (Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, Onimusha, Dragon's Dogma, etc.) and has done lots of content on her channel for the games. In fact I think Suzi is most known for being a big Resident Evil fan, so it would make sense if Suzi were invited to promote something from Capcom.

One of the biggest complaints about DEI developers is there's no hot women in their games. And generally, that's a pretty good indicator of whether or not a developer is going out of their way to adhere to DEI initiatives or not for those who are invested in this.

If you've seen any woman from the Resident Evil remakes, Gemma from Monster Hunter Wilds, Cammy and Juri and Chun-Li and the recently released MAI SHIRANUI from Street Fighter 6, Trish and Lady and Nico from DMC 5, and plenty more I'm not listing off.... then I feel like you've got nothing to worry about.

Whoever created this might not be right in their head. Every single game is woke for them for the most trivial of reasons lol

thank you for pointing this out, i will skip this game now. you would think that if someone was creative enough in the head to pretend their delusion is real would be able to write actual creative content.

Who is Suzi, and why does it make you hate the game again?
Kai Mar 24 @ 3:32am
What is this suzi? Are they catering to woke or lgtv or something?
AILAD Mar 29 @ 2:19pm
I can only assume that you made this stupid thread because Suzi is a trans woman...

You guys are so sad lol

I can't wait for this game, and if Suzi is directly involved in marketing it then I'll be even happier.
