Game doesnt work correctly?

the first issue ive had is not being able to launch the game through steam.
ive tried all the fixes google told me to do still wont work.
so I tried launching the game through file explorer which worked.
but now my game is having an issue where I cant progress past the opening cinematics.
once the dialogue finishes i just get stuck there watching the cinematic. And if i skip the cinematics i can make it a little further but once I talk to the kids after exiting the ball pit the same thing happens. its almost like my keyboard loses control?
any help will be apreciated
ive uninstalled and reinstalled
restarted computer
verified files
launched as admin
and nothing works so far

did you make sure all your drivers and windows is up to date?

Oh yeah right it must be a windows update thats preventing the dialogue from showing up...

"I launch the game, i get stuck on confirming the difficulty, I confirm but nothing happens, need to go back and load game. Then on the first cutscene, im forced to skip it because the text no longer shows up. Glad you mentioned that lol, when reporting a bug through that system, clicking send just tells me "Try again!" and never works, 4th bug.

there's a difference between server overload and a bug. i gave it 5 minutes and it worked fine.

yeah okay i just tried sending feedback and it gives me the same thing, thats most likely on the server that got overwhelmed, again cant blame the devs this just happens, as for the game breaking bugs you seem to be the only person in these threads reporting this, if you havent already id recommend verifying game files, updating all drivers and that usual stuff. if this was something common more people would be here mad about it but it seems right now like something is causing problems on your side except the bug report feature

i have had the absolute strangest issues from not updating windows. code does not work in a way that makes sense to us. did you check?

well true but a singular few out of the 7k playing rn it rather seems like something else is wrong and causing issues with the game, for most the game works and doesnt break like it does for you, its annoying i get it but it doesnt seem like an internal issue within the game. maybe you have some software running that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the game or something along those lines

im just gonna leave it with this: if you and one other guy are the only one having these issues, and you did not confirm to make sure everything was correct on your end, there is zero proof that its the games fault. hope you get it figured out

Ive encountered more people on the discord with the same issue, everything is correct on my end, and even if, the issues ive encountered in the game cant be in anyway related to my hardware or software, i know how to make the difference between bugs and the rest, it makes absolutely no sense for why drivers or a windows update would cause the in-game dialogues to get stuck, the fact that you believe it so strongly makes me question your basics

Thats absolutely not how it works lmfao, a software running in the background isnt going to make the game stuck or not show dialogues, thats like saying the reason you get cancer is because you stubbed your toe, they are completely unrelated issues
