Some thoughts after finishing the game
So I just finished the game and have a little feedback on some of the puzzles.

The deducktion about "Freddie is being framed by X" left my head scratching for a bit since I thought I was supposed to find out who is actually framing our gator, rather than insert the alias "Salami Thief" which is basically like admitting to saying "I don't know who is framing Freddie".

For the safe combination, I read "OO" as "00" so I kept putting a zero in the middle rather than realising it's a job position. But maybe that's just my dyslexia talking. It would perhaps be better to have O and 0 be more distinctvie in the game or change the OO clue to something else...

At first glance I missed the clue that Margaret was making a surprise birthday party. I could pretty easily figure it out from how the deducktion was phrased, but since I couldn't get back into the original dialogue about frosting and so on I guess my only clue was her holding some baking utensil and so on.

I guess some times it felt a little like we were jumping to conclusions or being lead by the deducktions, but I suppose that's kind of inevitable in a detective game. Surprise birthday party was one, other was figuring out the receptionist name out. Both of th eoptions were possible since she did have a keyboard after all...

But I think what bothered me the most was the dropped cellphone. It was a little bit clever with figuring out the number from the smuggling poster, but I did miss it until the game was over. But since Sophie dropped it while being kidnapped, how did she text the random texts to Laura from inside of where she was being kept? Unless that phone wasn't her cellphone but some other phone she had around... Kind of doesn't make sense and if the Ducktective didn't say that the writing was weird, I would've just assumed Sophie was just typing in frustration not distress.

I guess what would've been useful to know was the current time or be able to remark that some texts are recent. Looking back at it we do have some clock by the front desk, but I didn't notice it until I finished the game. I did wonder about the message time once or twice though...

But yeah, it's definitely an interesting game. Nice art style and good job on the voice acting committing to the roles and so on! Can't wait for more cases! :)

I didnʻt understand how we could know that Sophie was in the bus.
Also how Rufus was blackmailing the boss? he knew about salamis? if thatʻs so, why orchestrate the framing if almost everyone knew about salamis?
Ok, Freddy didnʻt know, but Boris could just tell him "that is not your bag" and switch them back. the whole thing just doesnʻt make sense lol

The safe puzzle was a bummer and I just brute-forced it,

I agree some deducktions were a hard reach. Also the safe combination has no clue as to what it refers to, it's rather convoluted to get at. CS/OO/BD is easy to get that it refers to the positions, but from there to the number of people in each position, yeah that was another long reach. Initially I wondered maybe it refers to the level of each position, as in OO is above CS, so maybe 1, BD is below all, so maybe 3, etc.

Agree. When doing the safe code I ended up googling the answer. Also I thought BD meant birthday so I was searching for more birthday dates, but I reason it is the amount of buss stops there are, so 4.

I did have to do a large bit of just trying names and actions to see if it was right. Like with Sophie being in the buss.

I also felt that the game was a bit short. Would have loved for it to be a bit longer. Finished it around 2 hours and don't see much replay value currently,

Story just doesn't make any sense to me. Last part I just gave up trying to figure things out and enabled story mode to bruteforce deductions. What was the need for framing Freddy in the first place? Everyone was getting what they wanted. Salamis are being imported, vouchers are being sold. Freddy didn't care about salamis in the bag, so no harm was done to the plan by this. Just take it and get his bag back. Literally no one cared. All mess was started by duck being hired, and duck was hired because lunch was stolen. But WHY STEAL STUPID LUNCH??

The Safe thing is the amount of people per position. OO is 1, cause its just freddy, CS is both Mageret and Laura, so two, and BD is 4, as mentioned in the note on the floor in Freddie's office ^^

I also agree with the most points you have.

Some deductions/clues feel forced, for example it's obvious that Laura works it CS, but to get this option in the book you need to do something specific.

When do we learn Freddy's last name (Frederson) and how do we know it's his?
Why is Sophie snitching on the boss and how do we learn that?
The deduction about Sophie in the bus is just wrong, because the right options is the Office, while the bus is obviously not in the office, it's on the parking lot.

That's exactly how I felt in that part.

I found the safe to be one of the more straightforward puzzles. I had no issue with it. Some of the others though? Maybe I was doing it wrong but I too often felt like I was taking educated guesses instead of knowing things for sure.

To be fair, a few also had a hint in the very title of your task. Only issue we had, really, was the fact that we tried to "solve" it too quickly and put Manny in instead of "Salami bandit" from the beginning, and were wondering why it didnt work.

When we first enter the office, Laura mentions Frederson with Manfred before they address Duck Detective.
As for how we know it's his, it's a process of elimination situation.

We know he isn't Employee of the month because he doesn't have a beak like in the sticky note.
We know he isn't Laura, Sophie, or Manfred as we put those names in already.
We know the other last name we have belongs to a Sheep due to the icon picture (and it being a different desk).
And we know he isn't a bus driver.

So, they're the only options left.

Safe for me was:

OO = Freddy = Mug thief, mug with "#1" right there on desk
CS = The number "2" is highlighted when you examine the CS desk
BD = The number "4" is highlighted when you examine the bus driver note

Never thought about # of employees

I thought the safe was fairly straightforward, but some of the deducktions were frustrating and a bit moon logic-y (though the easier side of moon logic). What really annoyed me the most was that there isn't an option to not arrest anyone, and also Rufus and Margaret are also doing something very illegal (and arguably a lot worse, because they're directly stealing from the company which negatively impacts the entire branch via the budget) but that's just skipped over?

"But WHY STEAL STUPID LUNCH??"
Yeah, that part of the story seems to be rather flimsy.

M knew S was going to snitch, and was looking for a fall-guy because of that. But why would that work? If S was going to inform the police, why would she not include the name of the actual smugglers? After all, she knew who was doing it.

And apparently, because L complained a lot about F, they chose to manipulate her. Telling her they needed proof of a crime to be able to fire F. But if he got fired, they had no more fall guy for the smuggling? How would that help?

Also, F was the one who was obsessed with detectives, not L. Why would she call a detective when her lunch got stolen? Would she not simply report it to management?

And yeah, it also bugged me that I couldn't report R & M for stealing.

yep I had this problem too as well as the other things people have mentioned. this is my main problem with the game right now, I had to consult a guide several times to determine what was being asked of me in some of the deductions and there were a bunch of leaps of logic in the back half. if they only added some more hints or bonus dialogue I think it would help. especially right at the end you're basically left on your own to crack the last three puzzles with little to go off of. if I could talk to the characters again and they could add more hints, it would help with the world and make things a bit easier.

I had the same safe problem. I'm also not sure about:
Why are we to assume Margaret is planning a party just from the whisker? Maybe show some decorations ready in boxes or something.
How am I to know sophie was in a bus? Maybe make Manfred closer to the storage compartment and say something like if she hasnt gotten far where could she be hidden? The kidnapper should be nearby keeping watch. Because there really isnt a way for us to narrow it down. For all we know she could be at somebodys house or something. Do tell us that enough time hasnt passed for her to be truly off premises and that will help A LOT.
