How do you switch out license plates?

I bough a stolen D-1CK, went to the license plate store and purchased a new license plate that was compatible with that model. Went back to the shed with the truck, but I can't seem to put the new plate on.

I have the plate in my inventory and when I select it and click "Use" it appears in my hand, but when I mouse over the stolen plate it turns red and won't replace the stolen plate. If I try to interact with the rear bumper with my hands, I can't see a way to remove the bad plate.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to cut off the stolen plate first, with an angle grinder. Then you can assemble the one you boughr.

Guess I should have waited for your response before playing again. While I was waiting for some other parts to arrive, the police showed up, arrested me, and confiscated the truck.

I'll definitely try the angle grinder the next time I'm in this situation. Thanks.

On a related note, is there anywhere to sell parts in your inventory? I've got 2 windows and a headlight for the confiscated truck sitting in my inventory and I'd like to get rid of them. Tried the mechanic, but they weren't interested in buying anything.

We don't have the possibility to sell car parts yet. We'll see in the future ;)
