I don't see how they would ever incorporate Multiplayer seeing as the vehicles follow specific paths.
I would personally think that this game doesn't need it. It just feels like one of those games that are just meant to be single player.
just go play gtaV. :D
One player hosts the game, others may join
Everyone has their own starting positions, they select routes, charge and the host can start the dismount when everyone is ready.
This would require maps with multiple starting places and routes.
About manual steering, players are in control when the host starts the dismount.
See? Not that hard.
P.S: Maps with multiple starting points in singleplayer, perhaps add a button where you switch through the spots like you switch through routes.
