Hodor's response:
Also we have PC specific channels for players looking for a game you can use.
I was considering getting the game as an alternative to Brawlhalla but there's barely anyone online to play against. Right now it's showing 2 people playing on Steamcharts. It's a shame cause the game looks awesome. Even if you had a large % off sale I don't think it would give the game the population it needs..maybe very short term of a week or so but not months down the road. Are there any plans to change the business model from Buy To Play to Free To Play with a cosmetic cash shop?
Basically they alienated their PC audience. They prioritized the Nintendo Switch release and for what reason I have no idea. Especially because this was a PC fighting game, their guest characters are PC indie stars, why would anyone put money in a Super Smash bros inspired game when they can just wait for Super smash bros. the REAL thing. The appeal of playing super smash bros is to play as your favorite NINTENDO characters. The appeal of brawlout was to play super smash bros on PC. I swear whoever was in charge of who and where this game was going to be released to was way to eager, this game is wasted potential. They could of kept this game a steam exclusive, polished it in early access, (voiceovers, better menus, better story, better aesthetic content) because the core was decent. Then gather more audience, who in turn would create a buzz and bring people to it. This game will fade into obscurity if they made it free to play, the characters in this game are way to bland and unknown to ever want to buy or add aesthetic content to. Anyone would rather buy RYU for 5 bucks than a character they dont know. Just look at brawlhalla and rivals of aether clear examples of what Im talking about. I'm still so salty about this game. It was so great when I first got it, it was the answer for a pretty smash game on the pc. I think the game can still gather an audience, if they suped up what they have, focus on its PC audience and make up for angering those that this game disappointed. They better hurry with that to because when Super Smash Bros comes out, that 50k player base they say they have will be playing that and nobody will be playing this game.
let some streamers play this game?
I mean i payed 19.99€ for a game, that I cant even play because there are no players.
the game isnt even bad, but it seems just no one knows about it
Also Youtubers. Just look this video and read comments.

It's bad.
Search videos on YouTube about the game. It was received bad. And it makes me sad.
The game still is unfinshed. Also there is no a hype train. I mean the last big event was, when Juan from Guacamelee was added to the game.
The game is played by only dedicated group of fans. it have tournaments.
Btw, PC is now a little ahead of Nintendo Switch, if I'm not mistaken. And creators have plans to port the game to some other platforms.
IMHO, the game still need something to appeal audience. First, they should finish what they plannned. For instance, the game have a lot of options for training, which are not available yet. Voiceovers would be good. I would like to see more arenas to play. The game has only 11 or 12 (if count Iceburg Cliffs) arenas and half of them are variants, actually.
The game has a good core, it's fun to play. But, idk.
For me it was the publishing that screwed up so bad, once again, they focused on the switch. that focus was so detrimental to the community, I was a part of the community really early on, it seemed to me this was going to be a PC exclusive. then out of the blue they said they were going to port it to other consoles, then the full version came out BEFORE THE PC VERSION, BEFORE IT WAS EVEN DONE, A FULL RELEASE. So you paid money so that the game could be sold to switch players. regardless of that, the game is not done, even robo leader up there in a discussion said it wasnt even done. why would you release an unfinished game?! its nuts to put an unfinished (I was trying to avoid saying this) super smash bros clone on the switch. I "loved" this game and reconmended it to my brother in law (before the switch port), who is a fan of fighting games and especially super smash bros. His reponse was, "nah Im sure Smash bros is coming to switch" which of course it was, oh look, theres the damn trailer...
and silicone this is a bad game, only its core is solid (which is ripped from super smash) the rest of this game is peanuts compared to giant that theyre ripping off. BUT it was ok because it was an INDIE PC game. it was our super smash bros.
they [angered] the only people that would of given a crap that this game would of succeeded. I feel bad for them to, I almost feel like some jerk told them to port it or an investor to get it out early and all it did was hurt the game's image.

This is the only video I can find of anyone even talking about the switch version, besides bad reviews and trash talking...

I feel angry mod should admit they screwed up, apologize to their remaining PC community members, lick their wounds and some how salvage what they have here or patch the hell out of it
