Do they have any use outside of just selling at the shop? i doubt it but i was holding on to a bunch of stuff not sure if any of it ever became of use, outside of selling it that is.

What I would do is keep them until the end of the cell block you're on and then sell them if you haven't used them. There's nothing that you'll pick up in one place and use in another, but there are one or two things that you'll need later within the same cell block. 99% of it is just stuff to pawn at the vendors, though.

Only 2 items I've seen so far that you need is the a Fire Gem and a Piece of Coral for Cellblock 6.
