Trojan.Generic.11464070? steamintegration.dll?

Anyone else have their virus scanner read the steamintegration.dll file in the Paper Sorcerer folder as a trojan?

It could be a false positive but I'm not sure. It's been pretty crazy lately after buying a bunch of games from the Steam sale and getting a few files come up as trojans. First Shadowrun Returns, then One Way Heroics, then Shadowgrounds, now this?

I'd be fairly sure they aren't actual viruses. I somehow doubt that Steam would tolerate that kind of action from anyone using their service. Firstly because it makes Steam look bad and secondly because Steam tends to be fairly computer savy (might be an understatement) which means they would recognize it for what it is. If it were me, I'd mark them false positives and move on. I have 3/4 of the games you mentioned and my virus scanner (Norton 360) didn't find anything wrong with any of them.

It depends on how they "analyzed" it. The probability for a false positive is still high. Was it some behaviour analysis, or did it match a certain signature? Both ways are prone for errors and all antivirus companies have a long track of killed OS installations when certain vital windows system libraries were identified as malware.

Still no sign of the game developers...

The dll file is crucial for steam integration, including getting your achievements to the Steam server. No idea why it's being flagged, so I don't know how to fix it. I'll keep an eye out for possible fixes. Go ahead and mark it as safe in your antivirus app.

Sorry about not keeping up here on the Steam forums, I've been working offline and haven't been scheduling time for it. Working on various things related to Paper Sorcerer, but right now they're mostly offline.

Ultrarunaway: Something has occurred with that particular file (steamintegration.dll) as my antivirus (Norton 360) didn't flag it prior to this most recent patch. Now I can no longer get the game to run at all. I uninstalled and re-installed the game, verified the integrity and even "restored" the file from the quarantine placed upon it from Norton. Nothing seems to work. I've contacted Norton and will post their response once they've finished "investigating."

Ultrarunaway: Norton gave me the following website to submit a "false positive" report. It is suggested by them that users as well as developers submit tickets (more tickets means faster responses apparently?).
