the best starting origin for a water shaman

hi there,

I see there is a new class and i am eager to test it out but before i do what is the best starting origin for a water shaman, are the heals better on the shaman then on the holy priest?

Both water shaman and holy priest are really good healers. I have more often seen the Holy priest used as tank as well while the shaman seem to be support. But that might just be because the Shaman as a class is really new.

The perks focus on different aspects of the gameplay so which you should pick depends on how you want to play; if you want to level different kinds of XP faster or if you want more advantages in combat (either by buff or cost reduction). If you were a priest I would definitely say that the reduction of mana cost (stormhold) is nice to have but I don't know if that would be as important for a water shaman or not. (I'm Shadow Priest)

Thanks for the reply, i do have an account for the offical forums as i have been playing this game off steam... but the lag on us3 on the stand alone client is getting ridiculous..

Wow, there is lag on US3 even though no event zone is up?! Have you tried turning off the visuals of others’ spells and/or lowering the graphic settings temporarily?

I have not noticed any excessive lag on EU1 so it's probably not the build. If it is not your connection that is the problem you can check if your graphic card is updated.

I have an AMD Radeon and the game goes on the fritz every time there is a new update available.

the game automatically lowers the graphics for me, i do have an old graphics chip in my laptop, i am not a pc expert so i have not idea how to update graphics on my laptop....I have what you call the intel chip ,....

I just saw in the forum that US3 is being rebooted so maybe everything will be ok after the update.

Yes, US3 is down no matter which client you're on - the server is shared for all clients.

I heard it is reboot-tuesday so all servers are probably going down one after the other today.
