Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Game is good but... where are the updates?
I've basically completed the game, the only enemy I have to beat is a wanderer that requires 77 mln credits to unlock (which will take too much grind and I'm not really into doing it). Where are the updates? Where are the news? It's nearly a month since last update. I sincerely hope they will give us more content at this point. It would be nice to know what you're working at.

I agree. I'm tired of being burned by early access games in general on steam (not saying that's happening here). Steam should implement a requirement for clear roadmaps and communication via steam and a release within one year of early access. If it fails to hit that mark - they should allow refunds. This would absolutely destroy early access scamming.

What would you rather have?
a: a dev team that wastes time doing stuff that would not lead to a faster release
b: a dev team that puts the manpower where it counts, aka programming and designing

When half the game is still to be created, why waste time on pointless updates that will 100% be delayed anyways. We got a Q&A a few weeks ago, that is more then good enough.

We are product testers, nothing else, we pay to test the game and to find bugs.
That is what early access is, nothing else. 15 years ago it went under a different name: closed Alpha and Beta testing.

yeah I concur.
Early Access now a days, is a glorified testing, and probably works if it done properly and works for others. but probably benefits smaller studios more than others.

I would rather if they fully cook the other half and give us a full release instead of giving us a portion of what they have every time they have a new team build up.

If 4 months was their window for Full Release then 4 months of wait it is, until then, there are other games to play.

The problem with gamers now despite loathing and bashing live service games, we’ve gotten so accustomed to expecting updates every single time into our games that we forgot what an offline single player is like with updates.

EDIT: to whoever gave that Jester award knows I’m right and you’re just butthurt by it.

When comparing with another Early Access game made by Japanese developers like Palworld, they also released in January and their first major update didn't come until April.

I believe it would be the same development here.

They said the game is most likely going to have 4 months of early access and I have a feeling April is going to be when the game releases.

If the developer doesn't have the manpower (a single person) to publish a simple text statement on what they're working on, then the game is done for. Stop lying and writing fanfiction when you clearly don't know.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“The plan is to improve the quality of the game by making various improvements based on your feedback over the course of approximately 4 months of Early Access. Depending on how the progress of development goes throughout Early Access, we will decide and announce the full release of the game as soon as possible.”

What on earth are you talking about lol
Well, I think its the content update we're waiting for is taking that long. I wish that Genki will surprise me by adding Nissans Silvia Coupe Twin-cam Turbo RS-X S12 and Leopard Ultima V30 Twincam Turbo F31. It would be nice if the dreams came true.
