DON'T BUY BOSS CARS!!!!
DO NOT BUY BOSS CARS!!! They will be weaker than your current car anyway. They cost a lot, you can't sell them, you can't upgrade them. DO NOT BUY!

Her car is lv 8 power unit upgraded and fully maxed out on everything else (lv 5 on everything except nitrous, which is probably lv 3), so she's far outside of the other boss cars.

It's the reason why she's so hard to race against.

The other boss cars are max, lv 6 power unit upgraded, a max of lv 4 everything else, and lv 1 nitrous.

I mean, you shouldn't do that in the first hours of the game. Of course, when you've farmed millions, you can buy anything.

DRR car saved my ass when I was relying on my 86 and the next car I wanted was locked behind beating Cinderella Past Midnight so I didn't want to upgrade another car right before that.

True, but the problem is that the BOSS cars have way less power than when you race them, which is stupid and odd.
