No. Genki made other drifting games in the past- infact, it is Tokyo Extreme Racer: Drift 2. It focused primarily on Initial D-like mountain road gameplay and story. They may release a new version of that game later on as well.

you start to drift when tires are at 30% .. but then you cannot win races due to no traction.. im hoping we can buy a drift tire if we want to just slide around the map instead of challenging racers

no multiplayer and no drifting.. think im gonna pass. atleast for now. maybe they will add this in the future. game looks great though just not for me atm.

You can definitely drift. You are even rewarded with money for doing drifts.

There is drifting but it is too rigid to use it drift around corners reliably even with FR cars. I hope they improved the drifting on release because the game mentions drifting a lot like it is a build you can do and the same with Rival Bios that talks about the drivers loving drifting

Biggest drift reward I've gotten is 21,500CP but it basically tries to snap ya forward constantly so you're fighting that. Though I'll say I'm not a drifter so if ya tune your stuffs enough you might be able to do a decent amount but the game really doesn't like it. xD

the physics atm is really bad for drifting. you just ebrake to slide uncontrollably at speed, and it magically gains traction if you try any other technique, and cant maintain drifts.

its kind of fun to do to gain money but needs improvement

txr3 had a lot better drift physics.

They wont be adding multiplayer or drifting. The game is based on street racing on the expressway in Tokyo which is a setting that's based on real life. If you want drifting you will want a different style of game, this is like an old school arcade racer.
