and I guess its safe to say they split into tier's , so you can't go past certain point unless you beat special boss (i think this happens 2 times in early acces but you need do alot of racing to get to these bosses).
If some friend asked me the same question I would say this game is very solid for early acces, and best would be to just give it a shoot. 2h should be more than enough for you to decide do you want to play it more or not (as if you want refund it, or not), you can see what is there to unlock in early access, on these trees almost right away too.
You also need to like go fast on highways becouse thats where you race, and you also unlock more parts of these highways as you progress (so what you see at begining is not whole early acces map) Honestly to do whole loop takes a while which was suprising for me.
This game definitely scratched my itch of like old NFS Underground - except is just highways and alot of head2head racing which I like.
Honestly only complain I have is music, Which I find it very.. uh? fatiguing? for leak of better word (which is very subjective opinion ofc) Would be cool to be able add own music to playlist. Had to mute music and listen to own stuff for full enjoyment so no big deal for me - again, very subjective
Right now, i would guess maybe 10-15 hours worth of content, more if you set a goal of collecting all cars currently in the game. Nearly 50 cars can currently be unlocked, but do not forget, all you do is drive on a single highway challenging either story car, or random cars on the highway, there is no small street racing like NFS, It is a very niche aspect of arcade racing.
Balance is in a rough spot currently, but that should be solved as more content is added. Cars are also locked behind story progression/goals, so in the start only access to say 5-7 cars, but more gets unlocked as you do the story.
Yeah I used to play the hell out of Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero back on the PS2 way back in the day. That's why I was so excited to see this show up.
Its a straight cut tho. Meaning you won't get to play through the game as is. It just ends after a certain boss race.
you can keep going, even after you beat all rivals. It'll take you a minimum of closer to 20-30 hours to beat all rivals because one has a requirement for earning a lot of money (total earnings).
the game has no reset, unless you start new game
you can ride around re-challenging rivals and racing traffic cars or setting personal best trap speeds for as long as you like.
