Racing/SP Glitch

Ran into this issue just now.
I beat "Logic the Professor" then was immediately challenged by "Black the Zero Fighter". The problem I noticed right away is that my SP was nearly depleted and did not reset after the previous race. Lost immediately from being pushed from behind by the challenger.

I was then unable to re-race Zero due to a "wrong opponent" notification. I realized it was showing that Logic was yellow as if I hadn't defeated them. I re-raced Logic, won, re-raced Zero, won, then was immediately challenged by "Gothic the my lord"
SP was not reset from previous race with Zero so I lost that one.
Now "Black the Zero Fighter" is showing yellow instead of green and unable to re-challenge Gothic due to "Wrong opponent" tag.........
Looks like I'm going to get real good at beating everyone twice tonight!

It doesn't reset. Back-to-back races continues your sp from where it was during the previous race. Once you lose, you have to start all over from the first race.

Oh, I guess I hadn't run into that scenario until today. Thanks for the clarification!
Update: Went back in and was more cautious with SP. Had to beat all three in a row and then they stayed beaten

yeah, i think it called "continious SP battle" where you have multiple rivals while your SP transported to the next battle after finishing 1st
