Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Roadmap and full release
Didn't find any information about planned updates or added content, as well as a full release of the game. Can anyone shed a light on that?
Really liking the game so far, but the content seems to end too quickly haha

Release should thereby be later than June, at which point a date should be due to be announced. Given that the game is said to be approximately halfway finished, that should give you an okay idea about their schedule.

Updates will be released, when ready. Game will be released, when ready. There you go, anything else?

Its still a game that you paid for, in EA, to support the development. I dont expect unrealistic deadlines or to rush the process, but its only fair to be able to know when your getting new content or when you can expect to experience the full game.

Will you always drive on the highways, or will you be able to drive in the city as well?

Never did happened in the older games, don't expect it'd be any different for the new game as well. New path maybe, but not in the city, it's not an open world game. Never was.
honestly id just want them to highly detail the highway and add more like TXR3 with added detail and functionality like exits and PAs.

I really hope they mean halfway in world development not car list and customization. Hope there's about 90% more cars and customization

I wouldn't expect the "world" to get bigger really.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer has always been kind of a niche series back on Dreamcast and PS2 (the series was a thing even before that under another name but that's beside the point). I don't think they had that much money to make this game to begin with.

Though the EA seems to do way better than anticipated, I don't think the map will get bigger. That would be an amazing surprise but I do not expect it.

I'm just happy TXR is back.

this is a game about driving Japan's freeway "loop" system, not a GTA type. It covers a subculture of only freeway racing. Here's a cool video:

The only time I remember being able to drive around parts of the city were when you got to the ends of the Shibuya and Shinjuku routes in Import Tuner Challenge, and it was only the bare minimum required to turn around to get back onto the highway travelling in the opposite direction.

Makes me sad not having the replays. Now that there is no end of race screen like the old games and you just continue driving I guess they would have to implement a new method like after a race you can pause and hit a "replay" button that shows you your last race or maybe your last 2-3 races, idk. Either way I want replays back!

Would be cool, but it's not happening, modders will have to do the work. Personally IDC if they do or don't as I prefer hood anyways in games like this.
