Tokyo Xtreme Racer
I just started TXR3
The handling is gonna take some getting used to. I don't remember it being this "floaty" on TXR Zero for Dreamcast.

Still gonna crush it tho :DukeRadioactive::DukeExplosion:

Zero is also on PS2. 1&2 are on DC. I much prefer the handling in 2 to Zero and 3
I've been playing through them again. Dreamcast original is REALLY floaty. Sequels aren't as bad.
From what I remember, you can fix most of the floatiness by going into the game settings and turning the steering response all the way up.
The first game, on Dreamcast, has such a setting but it really depends upon the car. AE86 is really bad starting out, so much that third person view is practically unplayable.
Turning that slider on the handling all the way up helps alot!!

ITC trumps them all imo.

That's my hot take also. ITC has the better handling of them all, even from this one. FR cars slide as they should, 4WD cars stick to the road unless you want them to slide and the big limos are heavy and sluggish.

Exactly. I wonder if the car handling in this one is a UE5 issue. Would be crazy if Genki goes from proper handling to this.

Maybe. The may also wanted to go back to the TXR0/TXR3 handling, ITC wasn't a big hit you know...

I played both TXR3 and TXR0 for ps2 last week. In my experience, in Zero cars are generally very stable, but oversteer hard under braking. TXR3 has very floaty driving compared to Zero. I suggest putting a spoiler and increasing downforce to max in the settings. It could also help to use analog accel/brake, just bind them to your right stick, then, if playing on pc, you can assign the right stick to the triggers (this is especially important in Drift 2 btw).

More of a preference, but it might be a good idea to build different cars for different tracks. I have a 280hp 180sx for c1 loop and an overpowered R34 for high speed sections.
