Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Will the map get bigger?
I just wanna say that this is my first TXR and I'm having a blast with it so far. I just beat Cinderella and acquired my beloved R33 and maxed it out.

With that being said, is there a possibility that when Genki adds more content will they also add more to the map as well? Or is what we got now what we got for good? I haven't played any of the other TXR's so are there other parts of the highways they can add in?

if they have any plans for DLC, the previous games have 2 other highway systems. TXR3 and ITC are a good example.

They can only add cities. TXR3 has Nagoya and Osaka as the other choice. ITC has a section open in Shibuya and Shinjuku but no access to the Bayshore/Wangan since it was under repairs at the time. Genki has always done their map to scale. Do mind that this is based on an actual highway in Japan so unless Genki has extra $, they might do the other two city highways but if not, Tokyo is the only route we have.
I love when people say 'they cant' 'they wont' 'they're unable 'they cant afford' 'it wont be possible' etc. (UNLESS) here and there. There's really people pretending to know things better than the actual developers on specific videogames. Let them do their job coz they surely have their own ideas and plans they're trying to implement. Im pretty sure it wont be a disappointment.

I'm not sure why you say that; there are other routes they have used in previous titles and they're all still there in real life so

I hope we do get expansions, I'm a sucker for DLC expansions admittedly from a good racing genre developer.

there are more roads connected, they can easily expand. they dont have to exist in older games

A rival I was racing last night slammed head on into the yellow arrows at the Namamugi Junction, instead of turning left towards Daikoku. I wonder if the AI glitched and attempted to run the full Yokohane line as in TXR3. Could be a possible indicator of route expansion.
Not directly connected to Shutoko (hell it's very far from them), but Nagoya and Hanshin may be add since they were featured in TXR3. At least that's the best case scenario I think.

Nah, it will get smaller to the point that you can't escape the C1 loop
Hopefully all map areas from TXR3 make a return and also the Test Course.
Anyone else remember the test course?
I'm likely going to bet that they'll include Nagoya and Osaka for TXR as a free addition if possible, just like in TXR3.
people are so brainwashed by the current state of games that they think everything has to be DLC, They may just add more maps or expand the current map as part of the 100% complete full game when it releases. just find it funny folks have been trained that content has to be something extra added to a game after the fact.
I think the game won't get any dlc soon but its possible that the map in general gets a expansion before the game is fully released. (Don't forget, its still early access) the story isn't even over yet.

I expect 30% more map without dlc and may another 30-40% via dlc. (different prefectures such as kansai)
