That would open the door for lawsuits.
Did you know both games are made by different companies.
2. ITC had only 19 cars, excluding custom bosses cars, (this has 45 up to now) and half of them were VIP limos. It's a matter of acceptable quality vs acceptable quantity. In my case I prefer more cars to choose from with a little less options on customising vs very few cars with more personalisation.
3. Some of the customisation made no difference or sense in ITC, like the interior customisation (steering wheels, seats, interior colours) as you never get the chance to see them in game.
4. Cockpit camera is almost a joke in ITC, as it's just a .gif image of the car interior pasted on top of the bonnet cam.
5. The map (and the campaign) is bigger in ITC, but ITC is a finished product, this is still on early access. We'll judge it and compare it with ITC when it's a finished product.
Basically, what they are doing is taking everything they had in ITC and moving it 17 years forward with more cars and better gameplay mechanics. The only thing that I find that Import Tuner Challenge did better than this, and this is a personal preference and maybe a hot take, is the handling. I enjoyed the more "slidey" handling on ITC than the almost go-cart handling on this one. Oh, and the camera position/movement...
this game does not follow true to txrz its more a hybrid of import tuner but a worse version...
that said i am enjoying it regardless as im a diehard fan of the franchise but im just hoping full release and mods launch this game into what it truly deserves!!1
Agreed !! fingers crossed the full access doesnt let us down...
Anyway, I'm playing TXR Zero now, and I'm completely blown away. It's very arcade, the roads seem wider than real life, but the races are very intense, you always have this back and forth with your opponents. Even if you've fallen far behind, you still can try and catch up if you're good at avoiding traffic. Other TXR games (3 and Drift 2) didn't give me the same level of challenge with AI opponents.
If you want a real challenge, check out KB1 or the Japanese release of SB2.
The track is literally the same size as Zero. Import Tuner is still way smaller.
It's easy to criticize the weak parts of this game and take all the improvements as granted, but that's just not fair. From what I saw every TXR game was a little different from others, and this one has the potential to be the best given enough time, especially with the help of the modding community.
