What car(s) did you pick?

Really curious what everyone picked to clear the three main phases of early access. What car did you pick at the very beginning? What car(s) did you use to beat the Elite Four (Bloodhound, Hanyaa, et al)? What car(s) did you use after the four, but before Cinderella? And what was your experience with them?

I started with the panda Trueno and enjoyed that I was able to fully upgrade it early since the starting price was so low. I then swapped to the most expensive Toyota, I believe it was the ZN6 or the ZNB, but felt that it was only average. Once I unlocked the next set of perks, I immediately swappaed to the RX8 and beat the game with it. Lovely car with a deep green paint-- it's not the fastest, but it had a high top speed that I tuned for. No regrets with that car, although I get the feeling there are cars with much faster acceleration in that tier of unlocks.

I started with an AE86 Trueno (stage 1), 180SX (stage 2) and currently driving an RX-8 (stage 3).

Swift > NA Eunos Roadster > ND Roadster (not optimal but worked plenty well) > R34

R34 might not have the most power, but the AWD acceleration is pretty bonkers. Now I'm the OP boss car at the start of races. I did later get the FD RX7 which has better top speed and lighter weight so it's better for C1 and speed traps alike, Supra's next on the list.

In case you missed what I replied to - the op said the R34 struggles to reach 186 - my screenshots proved otherwise. So, not wrong. Top speed with R34 vs Supra with only mild tinkering with gear ratios was 216 vs 217.

s13 K's; it's really OP, you can finish the game with it.
RX-8: you might need it for the bosses, but I think I defeated Midnight Cinderella with the s13...

I defeated everything except melancholic angel with the S13 so far.

I started with the AE86, then bought an S13 Silvia and kept upgrading it. I was able to beat the story with those 2. Now I got an R32 GTR for the remaining wanderers. After maxing it I'd like to try the GC8 Subaru.

I did an all Mazda run, starting with the Miata, then the hatch back that doesn't have a body kit, then the 4 door sedan, then ended it with the RX8.

my plan was to rush to the rx7, then when loaded with credits, build the old boxy evo

reality was i ended up in a swift, then subaru brx until i could get the rx7 then stayed with it, need one more unlock point to get the evo but only have wonders left to beat.

so i need to magic points out my ass to unlock the cars i need to beat them to get the unlock points for what i want LOL

will likely start a full new save come full release, game is fun as heck

I just hope theirs an easier way to start the 4 car races come full release cause theirs not many of them but they are always fun in this current built. just slap a guaranteed 4 way race in more parking garages or add a string off racers bunched up in cruise that auto form a 4 way race when triggered

Roadster > BRZ > RX8 for the story after that it's just gettin enough cp for all the specific cars for the wanderers.
