Tokyo Xtreme Racer
Slow motion still is not fixed despite patch notes
'Fixed a bug that caused slow motion depending on the combination of graphics settings.'

This unfortunately did not fix the problem, limiting the framerate to 30fps still causes the game speed to slow to a crawl unfortunately.

I mean, 30fps IS a crawl for a racing game.

Not saying it's. (you) Issue but I remember having this issue with vsync related options. Have you tried turning this on/off in the game as well as your GPU control panel?

I don't remember which game it was, but it caused to go slomo each time the FPS would dip.

Yeah my intention isn't to actually run it at 30fps but setting it to that level for testing purposes still yields the same slow motion result.

The intention is to cap it at 45fps/90hz on the Steam Deck but if the slowdown is still there obviously that's not possible. It's much harder to tell if it is actually the case at 45fps though so perhaps they just lowered the framerate threshold at which it happens?

you'd be surprised with how the human brains can get adjusted to low fps, even to the point they can be peer opponent to a 60fps player of the same skill

what it cannot adjust to is the occasional gamespeed slowdown especially paired with the memory leak that current game build still has
What are your PC specs and what settings are you playing at? Turn Down Global Illumination
I have similar. Sure I don't have a $5,000 gaming rig, but at "Unlimited" FPS, lowest settings and anti-aliasing turned off, it literally takes 10 seconds to get through the 3 second countdown.
My machine is a i7 11800H / 16Gb / 512Gb SSD / RTX3060. I would think it would at least be reasonable on "Low".

I have this problem too. Before the patch this bug has 50/50 chance. But yesterday every start of the game got a "slow mo bug"

Low settings offloads to the CPU more than the GPU, turn your settings up and use a program to monitor your GPU usage. You want it at 100% or close to it. You have a 3060, which should play this game quite well. Unless its a laptop, in which case, its not a 3060 but a lot less powerful, but still powerful enough.

Keep global illumination at low or medium settings.

You need to set the game to run on dedicated GPU, thats all. But what can I say? I'm sitting on i3-8130U (Intel UHD620) with 8GB of RAM and with few tweaks the game runs nice, reminding me of older TXR game speed. If I only could figure out how to disable ALL reflections and shadows, which eating my FPS, then I'm golden.
