Can't beat dark tengu. Any advice?
I know it's weird I'm not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about you-know-who. But I got lucky with her, nos, and making her crash. Dark Tengu NEVER hangs around corners for me, literally always just straight road with no cars around. No matter what I do, no matter how I tune my gears, he just zooms away and bam. That's it. Zero hope for me whatsoever. I can't buy any more upgrades, there's no better cars (I have an s14, currently). I literally do not know what to do here. Any advice?

Really? it's literally just a Miata upsized to have early Mazda 3 curves. It's not as sexy as the mighty FD3S but it's also far from the ugliest.

I mean, compared to any rx-7? Yeah. It's pretty ugly :v On its own, like I said, it looks like a dog stung by a bee to me. I've never really been a fan of 'em personally.

Stretch you Final Gears for better acceleration, 90% of the battles are won/lost by how fast your acceleration is to overtake them early or how fast your car can equalize your speed to the opponent's to be able to catch up.

I beat him starting around Hakozaki PA (lost to him once because I got Ginza'd).
He's rather easy compared to the other midbosses.

Agreed, although I'd like to add, where is Tengu's route again? There are some exceptions (such as Shuwa Shuwa) where top speed actually matters more than acceleration.
