A Customisation Wishlist - Suggestions and Requests
Hello, fellow racers and hopefully, TXR devs!

This will be a potentially over time growing list of different customisation options that I myself and other players would be looking to get into the game, both things that were available in earlier titles (such as mudflaps) and other things that weren't. For the sake of making things fun (or torture, depending on who you ask..) as well as fitting fairly well into the ethos of how the games were, you could also have it so that certain parts are only available to buy on certain days from the Legendary Tuner.

So, let's get started!
  • Exhausts Tips; This was something that, in older titles, you could choose yourself rather than it depending on your bumper. It also affected performance depending on your pick. Bōsōzoku exhaust pipes or tips would fit with this game.
  • Taillights; at the very least, being able to tint them to be darker or, the most basic but popular one, infinity taillights.
  • Headlights; similar to previously mentioned, tinting or custom headlights.
  • Lamp Colours; Either chosen from a few "factory" / general options (Yellow, Xenon, LEDs) or the same colour picking system used for the car colour.
  • Spoilers; current list of spoilers available in the game would very much fit on different vehicles rather than being locked to one car which would drastically increase the options you'd have available to use. Ducktails being more commonly available would also be highly appreciated.
  • Fender Flares & Wide Body kits; In older titles, namely TXRD2, aero kits would in certain cases would apply a widebody kit. This being an option here would be appreciated.
  • Tires; being able to choose the tire treads or brands is something that would be cool.
  • Carbon Fibre & other materials; something present in older titles which would allow for further customisation as well as performance tuning.
  • "Custom Car" exclusive parts; this is something that I'm on the fence about BUT I do think would be cool and can be handled in a reasonable way - should you purchase the specific car that has those special customisation parts that aren't available normally, you gain access to them through your ownership of the custom car. Alternatively, perhaps you could buy them at a premium from the Legendary Tuner?
  • Cabin Neon; this would and should work regardless of whether or not we have an interior camera.
  • Roof Scoops
  • Mud Flaps; if different weather is something that's added at some point, it would also give them function on top of visual appeal, for those that like them.
  • Spinner Rims
  • Window Tint
  • Custom Tachometers
  • Blinkers
  • Horn; I really wanna put a train horn on my Miata.
  • License Plates; vanity plates and custom placement would be great. I hate seeing my happy Miata (and RX8!)'s smile being blocked by plate. Having the plate on the side of the bumper or on the dash (which would be seen through the front window or rear, should you remove it from rear) would work, I believe.
  • Hardtops; this may be Miata specific but being able to get a hardtop roof for the cars that are currently only softtops would be nice.
  • Wing Mirrors
  • Rims; being able to use the OEM/Genuine rims from one car on a different one would be cool. For example, having the R32's rims on the R34. It can be done through needing to own the car the rims originate from.
  • Badges; debadging or swapping them out for different ones that are available for the car, like Eunos badges for the Miata (as it's Mazda Roadster in the game!)
  • Tow Hooks; applied to either front or back!
  • Rollcage; was previously seen in TXR3 on certain cars such as the RX7 FB
  • Custom Seats; sports seats, bucket seats or even leopard print seats or even removing passenger seats.

Feel free to share your ideas and wishes below and I may add them to the list and will give you credit for the idea!

More layers
Text in the stickers (either full alphabet or just a font to type in)

Fyi blinkers are already a thing - by default left/right on the dpad + up on the dpad are hazards
Universal / removable spoilers, carbon versions of most hoods, carbon trunk, custom headlights and taillights.
Hard tops and exhaust tips would also be nice.
Wide body kits are a must.

What I meant by that was custom coloured ones, not just having the option to use your blinkers.
I honestly like looking if anyone brought up custom Tachometer cos ngl its gonna be hella good one. i mean if specific for the car, that might be difficult for licensing, but custom? Would be better.

The option to change the gauges design like in NFS Underground 2!

+1 to all of that
Loving these ideas, I'd like to add the idea for a variety of light bars that can be mounted onto the roof. We could have off-road light bars and police light bars that can be toggled through a new key bind option.

Some ideas:
-Off-road light bar bases with the option to have x amount of light housings attached to it

-Rotating beacon light that can be tear-drop shaped or round globes

-Standard police light bars in Japan (officially known as Patlite company AWS aero
boomerang models and the newer ones are face-lifted designs known as AXS
models) (one more thing to note, the left, right, and middle lenses actually are
sometimes mixed colors if you check out some official emergency/utility vehicles in
Japan, so customization variation is easily possible!)

With the added ability to change the lens/globe/light glow colors using the game's existing color selection tools.

It's mostly cosmetic, but man I just want to be able to recreate the Tokyo Cop from Midnight Club 2 and race around in it like the old days!

I would like transparency options for vinyls. Workshop for decals would be cool. I know why they wouldn't want to do it, but people are already doing it with mods.

Using the PA's for multiplayer would be cool way to show off cars, or let players race.

I would like a copy and paste option to make things easier for customizing with shapes and able to re-edit them. I would also like to import custom stickers for Liverie because I want to make theme vehicles from Anime and Manga.
